Border Boys supported a fabulous golf day that was arranged by a few of its members. Lots of planning went into this event and some exceptionally bad weather leading up to the golf day had many of us on edge. The golf club cancelled the use of buggies due to the saturation of the course and it was touch and go if we were going to get a round in.
However, after much bended knee, we we able to get onto the course and a great day was had by all 46 golfers and supporters who attended. There were one or two sceptical scorecards (no names mentioned) but all in all it was a fantastic event.
Prizegiving gave opportunity for some superb prizes to be taken home along with the odd booby prize. This was followed by a number of members heading out to a local pub run by Saffas for some grub. Bunny Chow and boerie being a staple favourite on the night. A great opportunity for Border Boys to get together, have a catch up (kak-praat) and just spend some valued time together. Great effort by all.
