Border Boys had their much anticipated kit presentation lunch at “The Cricketers on the Green” Pirbright, Surrey on Sunday 30th July 2023.
The lunch was attended by members and supporters of Border Boys along with Border Boys ambassador Brenden Fourie. ICC Elite panel umpire, Adrian Holdstock, was in attendance and was put to the test with a question or two about umpiring. Unfortunately Peter Kirsten was unable to attend the lunch but Kirsy left a memorable video message for members.
Members were treated to great hospitality and food by Border Boy Mat Samler who manages The Cricketers and we would like to thank Mat for looking after us so well.
The Border Boys were presented with their match playing kit that will be worn in our first match on 27th August 2023. The design of the kit is based on the 1992 B&H South Africa season and brings a great deal of nostalgia to the group. Brenden, Peter and Adrian will be turning out for this game and the membership are looking forward to getting together for the very first time as Border Boys.
